The 5 surprises when going international

My trademark is protected, so what do I need now to sell or buy abroad? In November, a series on international contracts, suppliers and Incoterms.

I've spent a month talking about trademarks. And there's one question you keep asking me: "OK, my trademark is protected. What do I need now to sell (or buy) abroad?" In my experience, the same 5 surprises come up when a company makes the international leap: 1️⃣ The "usual" contract doesn't work in another country. 2️⃣ It's unclear which law would apply if something goes wrong. 3️⃣ The supplier seemed reliable… until they stopped answering. 4️⃣ Transport costs and risks weren't clear (Incoterms). 5️⃣ Payment arrives late, or not at all. Throughout November I'll dedicate this series to international contracts, suppliers, Incoterms and everything worth knowing before trading with other countries. With real cases I've come across. We start on Tuesday. Which of the 5 has happened to you? 👇
